Scout Report

When you're 6-10 and running the floor with three top-70 recruits who've already committed to SEC programs, the spotlight finds you whether you want it or not.

Background

Hugo Facorat is part of what might be the most loaded high school frontcourt in recent memory. Playing alongside future Arkansas guard Meleek Thomas, Tennessee-bound Amari Evans, and Mississippi State big man Tee Bartlett gives him a crash course in high-level basketball every practice. The 2027 center has been developing his game in this elite environment, learning what it takes to compete at the next level.

Playing Style

Facorat's skill set is exactly what today's college coaches want in a modern center. He can step out and knock down perimeter shots, which creates nightmare matchups for opposing defenses. His wingspan allows him to alter shots on one end and finish over smaller defenders on the other. The versatility is real - he's comfortable facing up or working with his back to the basket. Still needs to add strength to his frame and become more consistent with his decision-making in traffic, but the foundation is extremely promising.

Recruitment

No reported offers yet, but that's typical for a 2027 prospect who's still developing. Playing with three committed seniors should accelerate his recruitment timeline as college coaches get extended looks at his supporting cast. His ceiling is high enough that major programs will start circling soon.
