Scout Report
When your father averaged 18.5 points per game over 16 NBA seasons, the expectations follow you onto every court you step on.
Background
Rucker Jamison comes from Charlotte basketball royalty as the son of former NBA All-Star Antawn Jamison. The Myers Park High School guard has grown up around the game at the highest level, understanding what it takes to compete from an early age. He's currently suiting up for one of North Carolina's premier programs while running with elite AAU circuits.
Playing Style
At 6-3, Jamison has the frame to create matchup problems at the guard spot, especially when he gets downhill in transition. His basketball IQ shows up in his shot selection and decision-making, clearly benefiting from elite-level coaching at home. The stroke looks smooth from mid-range, though he'll need to extend that consistency beyond the arc at the next level. His defensive instincts are solid, but adding strength will be key as he faces more physical competition.
Recruitment
Campbell and Iona have already extended offers to the 2028 prospect, with more likely to follow as he develops. Being just a sophomore, there's plenty of time for his recruitment to heat up significantly. If he continues progressing at his current rate, major conference programs will start circling.
