Scout Report

When a 6-4 point guard already has Arkansas in his back pocket as a junior, you pay attention.

Background

Bell runs the show at De La Salle, where he's developed into one of the more intriguing lead guards in California. Playing alongside highly-touted Oklahoma commit Alec Blair has only elevated his game, giving him a legit running mate who can finish plays. The exposure from that partnership has opened doors with programs like Cal and La Salle, though he's already locked into the Razorbacks.

Playing Style

At 6-4, Bell brings legitimate size to the point guard spot, allowing him to see over defenses and create matchup problems. He's got solid court vision and can push pace when needed, but his best asset might be his basketball IQ in half-court sets. The kid doesn't force bad shots and understands when to be aggressive versus when to get teammates involved. Still needs to tighten up his ball-handling against pressure and develop more consistency from three-point range to maximize his ceiling.

Recruitment

His early commitment to Arkansas speaks to both his talent level and the confidence Eric Musselman's staff had in his development trajectory. With two years left in high school, Bell has time to polish his game and potentially emerge as a steal for the Razorbacks. Don't be surprised if other programs make late pushes, but Arkansas got their guy early.
