Background
McGilveary hails from Dallas, a basketball hotbed that continues producing quality talent year after year. The 6-0 combo guard made the move to Dynamic Prep, where he's surrounded by elite prospects including Marcus Spears Jr., the top-ranked player in 2027. Playing alongside Austin Goosby and Jaden Toombs has given him a crash course in high-level basketball daily.
Playing Style
McGilveary brings that classic combo guard versatility that coaches love in today's game. He can run the point when needed but is equally comfortable playing off the ball and hunting his shot. His court vision is solid, and he doesn't force bad decisions when the defense rotates. The shot-making ability is there, especially from mid-range, though he'll need to extend that range consistently to the college three-point line. At 6-0, he's got decent size for the position but will need to continue adding strength to handle physical defenders at the next level.
