Scout Report

A 6-4 shooting guard who quietly climbed the recruiting rankings to crack the national top-200 has found his perfect fit in the Windy City.

Background

Hailing from Olathe, Kansas, Anderson developed his game at Olathe South High School, one of the premier basketball programs in the state. Coming through the competitive Kansas high school circuit, he steadily built his reputation as a reliable scorer and versatile wing player who could impact games on both ends of the floor.

Playing Style

Anderson brings excellent size for the shooting guard position at 6-4, allowing him to matchup with multiple positions and create mismatches against smaller defenders. His length and athletic frame make him a solid defender who can guard both backcourt positions effectively. As a scorer, he shows good court awareness and the ability to create his own shot while also functioning well within team concepts. His combination of size, skill, and basketball IQ projects well for the college level.

Recruitment

Ranked #186 nationally in the class of 2025, Anderson attracted attention from several mid-major programs before ultimately committing to Loyola Chicago. His commitment to the Ramblers over offers from Loyola Maryland, Montana State, Stonehill, and DePaul suggests he found the right system fit with a program known for developing guards and competing at a high level in the Missouri Valley Conference.

I work with Dan on our NAF involvement in New York. He's a NAF alum himself, and has done a lot to create a meaningful and unique program for students who otherwise do not have access to work-based learning opportunities. #TangibleDifference @KPMG_US http://bit.ly/2zO1JBd
