Scout Report
Standing 6-10 with legitimate college offers already flooding in as just a sophomore, this Atlanta big man is rewriting the timeline for elite center development.
Background
Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Bentley Lusakueno has found the perfect development environment at Woodward Academy, one of the state's premier basketball programs. The talented center is part of an absolutely loaded War Eagles roster that includes fellow highly-ranked prospects Myles Hayes (#13 in 2028), Jarvis Hayes Jr. (#29 in 2027), and Clemson commit Zac Foster (#60 in 2025). This elite supporting cast provides Lusakueno with high-level competition daily while learning winning habits in a program known for developing college-ready talent.
Playing Style
Lusakueno's 6-10 frame immediately commands attention in the paint, but it's his basketball IQ and developing skill set that separates him from other big men his age. He shows excellent court awareness for a player still early in his high school career, making smart decisions with the ball and understanding spacing concepts. His footwork continues to improve, and he's beginning to show flashes of range that extend beyond the traditional post area. While still filling out his frame and adding strength, Lusakueno's shot-blocking instincts and rebounding positioning suggest a natural feel for interior defense that should only improve with continued development.
Recruitment
With eight Division I offers already in hand from programs like Georgia, Auburn, Oregon, and Georgia Tech, Lusakueno's recruitment is accelerating rapidly despite being just a sophomore. His #5 national ranking in the 2028 class reflects the widespread belief that he has elite upside as he continues to grow into his body. Given his local ties and the strong relationships Georgia programs are building, the in-state schools appear well-positioned, though his recruitment will likely become national in scope as he continues developing.
