Arkansas
Scout Report
When a 6-6 wing from Arkansas picks the hometown Razorbacks over blue bloods knocking down his door, you better believe there's substance behind the hype.
Background
JJ Andrews grew up in Little Rock watching Arkansas basketball, and now he's about to become the centerpiece of their future. Little Rock Christian Academy has become his launching pad, where he's developed into one of the most complete forwards in the 2026 class. The local kid made good story writes itself, but his game backs up every word.
Playing Style
Andrews plays with the kind of versatility that keeps defensive coordinators up at night. At 6-6, he's got legitimate size to play the three or slide up to the four in smaller lineups, but it's his perimeter skills that separate him from typical forwards. He can handle the rock in transition and has range that extends well beyond the arc. The rebounding numbers don't jump off the page yet, but his instincts around the glass are solid for a wing. His assist rate shows he's willing to make the extra pass rather than force shots, which is exactly what you want from a player with his scoring ability.
Recruitment
Ten D1 offers including powerhouses like NC State, LSU, and Illinois tell you everything about his ceiling. His commitment to Arkansas gives the Razorbacks a legitimate building block for Eric Musselman's program. This kid projects as a day-one contributor who could develop into an All-SEC caliber player by his junior season.
