Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Jones developed his game in one of the nation's basketball hotbeds before landing at Oak Ridge High School. He was ranked #37 nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, establishing himself as one of the premier power forwards in his age group. His high school career was highlighted by playing alongside an incredibly talented roster that included future LSU point guard Jalen Reece and Miami commit Treyvon Maddox.
