Brayden Burries
#9Arizona
Scout Report
When a top-10 national recruit bypasses the traditional college recruitment dance and enrolls early, you know the program struck gold.
Background
The San Bernardino native made his mark on the EYBL circuit before deciding Arizona was his destination. Burries competed at the highest levels of grassroots basketball, including Peach Jam, where college coaches got extended looks at his combo guard skill set. Eleanor Roosevelt served as his prep launching pad before making the jump to Tucson.
Playing Style
At 6-4, Burries has the size to play either guard spot effectively, which gives Arizona flexibility in their backcourt rotations. His EYBL experience shows in how he handles pressure and finds his spots within offensive sets. The combination of length and court vision allows him to see over defenses and make plays others can't. Still developing his consistency from deep, but the stroke looks clean and the confidence is there.
Recruitment
Already on campus in Tucson after choosing the Wildcats over Cal, Tennessee, and Michigan. His early enrollment suggests Arizona sees him as a contributor sooner rather than later. The #9 national ranking carries weight, and his ceiling remains high as he adjusts to college pace.
